Anna Maria Island, located just off Florida's West Coast in the Gulf of Mexico, offers a relaxing and fun environment.

Take advantage of a slow-paced, relaxed afternoon - stroll the beach, collect shells, watch the waves, or just soak up the sun. Dolphins are also known to frequent the shores - so keep your eye open!

Like to shop? Spend the day antiquing or browse the many island shops, including galleries and clothing stores. Don't miss St. Armands Circle, known for its exclusive restaurants, gift shops and boutiques.

Share a picnic lunch on the bay with the family and a romantic dinner in one of several water-side restaurants. Anna Maria's restaurants boast a broad range for every palette, from traditional seafood to "Floribbean Cuisine," which is a unique combination of American food with Caribbean and Latin influence.

Have a sporting good day. The water offers swimming, boating, sailing, jet skis and other water sports. Like to fish? There's always plenty to catch at the bayside piers, or go surfcasting on the Gulf of Mexico. Spend the day on land, cycling around the island, or playing golf or tennis.

Watch the sun set over the beach, enjoy the quiet evening with a glass of wine or head out for entertainment at one of many restaurants or clubs where world-renowned entertainers perform. The Sarasota theatre and cultural district is close by, and so is St. Armands Circle.

Anna Maria Island has something for everyone - whether you want to do everything or nothing at all.
