We have created a little list of a few ideas and places we've discovered on Anna Maria that you might enjoy:
For breakfast, lunch or dinner (not on Monday's) and you may need a reservation for dinner, Le Creperie on Bridge Street is two blocks away, lots of atmosphere and personal service. For breakfast with a view The Rod & Reel Pier on the north end of Anna Maria - go left at the tip and about a half mile on the right - seafood omelets and an amazing view of the skyway bridge, the fishermen, dolphins sometimes - eat up stairs! For an old style grill breakfast - try the Gulf Grill next door to the Green Turtle - half mile North on the right - The Ooh La La Bistro in Holmes Beach looks wonderful - haven't tried it yet - a little fancier - Sunsets Coquina beach - right across the street! Sunrise over the bay - down Fourth Street Lunches & Dinners The Bridge Tender by the Bridge Street Pier - very casual - nice activity - live music most nights The Beach House - great sunsets - live music most nights - English Fish & Chips - Rotten Ralph's on the tip of Anna Maria - go right to the yacht dealer & marina - very casual Caribbean favor - The Banana Cabana - about 4 blocks north Ice Cream Joe's Eats and Sweets - one block north! Shopping All over Bridge Street - try Sue Ric's for pretty gifts Ginny's Antiques - 30 dealers - collectibles to artwork - wonderful owner Ginny & Jeanie's at the Old IGA - great arts and crafts and gifts - a bakery & café in back - great coffee - live music occasionally Off Island head south through Long Boat Key to St. Armand's Circle - High-end shops, the Blue Dolphin for a large, albeit expensive, breakfast The Columbia House for a great lunch - salad prepared tableside & martinis if you like Great ice cream at the candy store in St. Armand's Parks The Bridge Street Pier The Anna Maria City Pier At the Southeast end of Anna Maria On the Northeast side of Long Boat by Euphemia Haye (great dark restaurant & desserts) (Outlet malls are inland). THE TROLLEY RUNS EVERY 20 MINUTES, STOPS ACROSS FROM US - Lots of shops along its route - particularly through Holmes Beach & Anna Maria City. Enjoy, Karen & Jay, your hosts |
